I recently received my custom case for all my knitting tools and I’m loving it.
I purchased the fabric (Hunky Dory Peppy Pink Floral) from Yummy Fabrics and sent it off to Rosevans on Etsy.
Here it is!

While exploring The Sweatshop of Love blog, I found the Aidez Cardigan. I’d never made a sweater before but the pattern was just so beautiful that I had to try it. Amazingly it wasn’t that difficult to complete. I got a lot of help from the blog mentioned above because they were right in the middle of a knit-a-long (KAL). I soaked up all the advice I could find and got started.
I made the body up in one piece, knitted the sleeves two at a time using the magic loop method and made them extra long. I then worked them into the body. I avoided seams at all costs. Seaming doesn’t appear to be very difficult but I’m terrified of what it will end up looking like in the end. I just have a feeling that these little holes are gonna manifest all along the join and that it just won’t look clean. I used a three-needle bind off under the arms and when connecting the collar extensions. I finagled a strange way to knit the collar onto the back of the sweater still avoiding seams. For lots more details you can check out my ravelry project page.
Now here are all the pictures, but I still don’t have any FO photos.

After a long hiatus from making plain old knitted hats, my mom requested that I make a cabled baby blanket this summer. These basic little cables are what got me caught up in the habit and now I just can’t stop. I realized it was time for me to finally learn all the complicated beautiful things that you could do with knitting.
I started with the Entrelac Beret by Allyson Dykhuizen.

Maize and Blue for my Michigan RAs. And this one was just for me. I love pink and brown!
(Sorry for the poor quality of the photos, I was using the wrong side of my iPhone :P)
